We celebrated the Academy ending in the Blue room with music that was performed by the Academy students and every academy class (four classes for four years of Academy) performed a skit.
We, as the first year Academy students completed the Foundation in Curative Education and got a certificate. The fourth year Academy got their Diploma.

My Academy class this year! It was a great group and we had lots of fun together! But only 7 of us are going to continue next year.

In the afternoon before the Academy ending I had one of the best times with LW, one of the girls from my house! We went to the pool and after that I came home with her to shower and get dressed. Since we still had one and a half hours until supper time I decided to spend some time in our new hammock with her. So we sat down, I sang some songs and eventually we both just layed down and cuddled up in the hammock. It got a little bit windy but we were well protected in there. The best experience for me was that I could feel how much LW enjoyed this moment. I almost fell asleep holding her in my arm. For more than one hour we just relaxed in that hammock…

This is what living here in Camphill is. For me it is not just ‘work’ or only about educating children with special needs, it is living with them like a family.
